But I see now that though individual posts in threads are organized in threads (and that done quite well on first glance), each post is individually posted.
So you can’t really tell whether a post is part of a thread unless you click on it and see.
Ah, and another issue: clicking post #1 in a thread shows #2, but not #3. Clicking #2 shows #3, but not #4. Hmm.
But clicking #4 (as it appears in your feed, apart from any other post) displays it in the context of ##1-3.

Yeah I’m pretty sure I *do* want child posts specially handled. Not sure how, precisely. Perhaps (a) in the feed, when post 1 has child post 2, then, 1 and 2 are shown together, but

(b) the earlier copy of 1 is removed from the feed, it will become redundant. (c) If child 3 is added, then again, remove the 1-2 post, but (d) show 1 with “…” in some way followed by 3.
